He was born in Milan, Italy, in 1989. He received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. (both with honors) in Electrical Engineering from University of Pavia (Italy) in 2011 and 2013 respectively, focusing on microelectronics and integrated circuit design.
In 2013, he spent six months at CEA Leti, Grenoble (France), working on CMOS electro-optical modulators for high-speed silicon photonics transceivers.
From Nov 2013 to Oct 2016 he has been working towards the Ph.D. in Microelectronics at University of Pavia, under the supervision of Prof. Francesco Svelto. His research activity was focused on the design of mm-Wave BiCMOS local oscillator building blocks for E-band Point-to-Point wireless communications. During this period, he spent a year as a visiting student in Berkeley Wireless Research Center (USA), where he worked on a CMOS receiver front-end for massive MIMO 5G transceivers.
He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at University of California, Berkeley.
