The Master Program in Cooperation and Development is open every academic year to 30 students coming from different cultural and academic backgrounds, and it aims at training future professionals in the field of development cooperation.

The main characteristic of this program is the strong link between the academia and the fieldwork. It is one of the few post-graduate programs in Italy completely taught in English.

The program comprises a theoretical part lasting from November to June every year, and taking place in Pavia. It foresees more than 500 hours of classes  and seminars and focuses on disciplines such as Development Economics, History, Sociology, Human Rights and Managerial aspects related to International Cooperation.

After the period spent in Pavia, students carry out an internship for a minimum duration of 3 months. Students intern in the field offices or headquarters of NGOs, International Organizations and Governmental Institutions and have the great opportunity of earning first hand experience by working side by side with professionals of Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid.

As partial fulfillment of the Master requirements, students are required to draft a thesis linked to their internship experience or treating a research issue of their interest. After the discussion of the final dissertation students will be awarded the title of Second Level Master Degree in Cooperation and Development.

The Master CD awards 75 ECTS
