The program will not be activated this year (2013/2014) EPIEI- Executive Program in International Economic Integration, is coinceived as a specialization of the Master in Cooperation and Development. It is a one-year academic route, intented to provide students with a solid economic and quantitative background, and to equip them with the main tools of professional and analytical economics whether they intend working in governmental institutions, international organizations or research institutes. EPIEI aims at giving students a wide vision of the range of economic relations existing among countries; enabling them to analyze the constraints and opportunities related with commercial ties and economic interdependence; and exploring the linkages between international integration and economic growth. Classes are scheduled from November to July every year; the Program is residential and attendance is mandatory. The curriculum focuses on topics of advanced Economics. In particular, it foresees modules in Quantitative Methods, Advanced Microeconomics, Advanced Macroeconomics, Econometrics and Macroeconometrics, International Economics, and Development Economics. Seminars and lectures from prominent experts coming from International Ogarnizations are spread all along the academic year. EPIEI is taught in concomitance with the PhD Program in Economics of the University of Pavia. Students are assessed at the end of each term through regular examination or submission of papers. At the end of the program, students will be required to draft a final thesis which may vary from a literature review to a piece of theoretical research or empirical application, according to the students' research interests and area of study. Successful students who have completed all requirements and earned 60 ECTS will be awarded the Second Level Master Degree. Internship is not compulsory in this Program.
