Dr. Barbara Marzani graduated in Biology in 2000 and in 2005 obtained a PhD in Physiological Sciences at the University of Pavia.
She is “Cultore della Materia” (Subject Expert) for the BIO14 subject group (Pharmacology).
Since 2000 Dr. Marzani has been working in the Pharmacobiochemistry Lab, particularly focusing on human muscle aging and on the role of free radical-mediated oxidative mechanisms.
At the moment her work is focusing on the rating of the antioxidant and therapeutic power of different vegetable extracts.
She has been a speaker at several didactic seminars both for the Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology course and for the Cellular Methodologies Lab course at the University of Pavia and she also co-supervises graduation theses for the degree in Biology.
Dr. Marzani is a member of the Italian Society of Pharmacology and of NeuroSail Inc.
