Summary — The a. points out, mainly on the basis of unpublished texts, Libero Lenti’s activity as economist and "planner" of the Italian economic recovery in the second post-war period. The basic features of such proposals are stressed. First of all, the production-oriented approach, following which Lenti privileges the objective of the increase of the national income. The minor importance is then emphasized assigned to the quantitative aspects of many variables (assessable with difficulty) in favour of the logical consistency of the proposals. Ability to formulate the proposals themselves on the ground of wide views relating to the international context, due consideration of historical and comparative aspects of the problems, and finally realism, are further features of Libero Lenti’s contribution to the planning of our economic recovery.
