Un'antica  novitą: la «Grande Guerra». Spunti di riflessione

N. 183

Summary - The first world war represented an overturning of rooted moral values, customs and civilities, with important consequences on all levels, from political and economic organization to military doctrine, aspects of everyday life, and even language. The phenomenon of war, which permeated the then emerging structures of mass society, gave rise to an unprecedented explosion. The author first re-evokes these general aspects, and then considers the particulars of the Italian case.
