N. 192

Summary - Human nature, which is presupposed by a liberal approach to social and political issues, can be better and deeper described adopting the notion of moral sense, as it is advanced by Adam Smith in the Theory of Moral Sentiments. The relevance of impartiality as an internal constraint to individual decision processes can be showed, because it deals with the possibility to intervineeng in the changing mechanism of collective moral sensibility. The particular case of the lost of the liceity sense is better explained as a fall of the impartial degree of rules of conduct implicit in a social relations.
