Summary - The Author has the aim of  investigating the complex problem of the relation between religion and law in the eastern countries and also within the context of  the Islam immigration. Infact, in this second context the Islam has a dialectic relationship that sometimes comes into conflict with the legal systems marked by the principles of the State laicality and the separation of powers. The article then tries to evaluate the relation between Islam and “power” and the ways to exercise the second one by Islam within the context of  a western democracy.
