"L´evoluzione delle diverse forme di partnership tra pubblico e privato nel settore sanitario"

Public-private collaboration in health care could be extremely profitable both for prevention, diagnosis and treatments standards and from an economics point of view. However, the present laws governing this collaboration are very cautious as they require authorization by the Regional authority as well as yearly and triennial controls by the Government and the Region. Furthermore, the legal obligations for the implementation of agreements, service licences and project financing are extremely pervasive and hard to apply. In the current health care system, characterized by growing costs and relatively insufficient funding, public-private collaborations should be made easier and much more widespread. For this purpose it is mandatory to allow privates to take part in the decision-making process regarding territorial, economical and strategic aspects of health care services. In this way, public-private collaborations would grant the requests and expectations of the entire health care system
