Titolo:
"Il liberalismo di Croce negli anni ´20"

The 1920´s represent a period doubly important in Croce’s life. From one hand, this is so because Croce had a very engaging activity as a Minister for Education in the government led by Giolitti (June 1920-July 1921) and then he subscribed the "Antifascist Intellectual Manifesto", and from the other because at a theoretical and interpretation level, Croce developed and critically deepened the liberalism issue, in the broader context of the relationships between ethics and politics. From the pages of the "Politica in nuce" (1924) until the "Storia d´Europa" not only does the polemics against any dangerous form of "ethical state" accentuate, but the relationships between "liberism and liberalism" are outlined (with the essay dated 1927) and the theory of "freedom religion" is strengthened, bound to represent one of the most original distinctive elements of "liberal" Croce
