In this introduction, the author offers a brief overview of the constant interest shown by the journal “Il Politico” on the subject of constitutional law and, in particular, the developments of the 1948 Charter.
She then focuses on the historical context out of which the various "internationally-oriented precepts" of the 1948 Constitution were born.
These references appear to acquire new meaning, if we take into account Italy´s adhesion to the three European Communities, more recently merged together in the Union.
