Abstract

Autore:
D´Alfonso Rocco

Titolo:
"Oltre lo Stato liberale: il progetto di Alfredo Rocco"

The criticism of liberal institutions and the shaping of a legal system aiming to eliminate every form of social conflict at its very source are two of the most important aspects of the political thought of the nationalist jurist Alfredo Rocco, minister of justice in the Mussolini Cabinet from 1925 to 1932. Rocco´s thought, developed during and after the last months before the beginning of the First World War, led to the effective project of regulation of trade union activities that became the basis of the corporatist system built by the fascist regime. The author reveals the ideological roots of this system in the nationalits writings by Rocco between 1914 and 1920. This was the crucial period for the shaping of Rocco´s view of a "strong, arbitral and sovereign state", warrantor of social discipline and correct development of the productive processes. The concrete fulfilment of this view was implemented by Rocco himself, thanks also to his technical contribution as minister of justice.
