The aim of the international seminary Cultura y Guerra Fría. Perspectivas comparadas entre Estados Unidos, Europa y América Latina (May 2013, University of Bergamo), was to compare two books, two groups of researchers and most of all two different methodological approaches to the topics of ‘cultural propaganda’ and ‘cultural cold war’ (between the United States, Europe and Latin America) from the 1940’s to the 1970`s. This review explains how fruitful - though problematic at the same time - was this process of comparison.
