About Salice Terme

Salice Terme, in the heart of “Oltrepò Pavese”, is a well known spa and vacation resort: the curative powers of its thermal waters were already known to the ancient Romans. In our days, water properties, beauty of the hills landscape and a particularly mild climate make Salice Terme one of the best thermal resorts in Italy. The green surroundings are perfect for excursions, open air sports and relax.

The term “Oltrepò Pavese” defines the portion of the province of Pavia just south of the Po river. The sunny, well exposed hills offer perfect conditions for growing renown vineyards at the origin of some of the best Italian wines. The area is famous for the production of a grand total of twenty D.O.C. wines, including Pinot Nero, Bonarda, Buttafuoco and Riesling Italico. The rich countryside also provides excellent food, which can be enjoyed in the many restaurants dotting the hills.
