Project Area: mainly the Eastern part of the Lake Turkana Area, including the Sibiloi National Park the Kobi Fora Paleontological and Mount Kulal Areas Affected Population: 200.000 approx. Beneficiaries: Local population, including Turkana, Merille, El Molo and Gabra Institutional Counterparts: Local Administration, Kenya Wildlife Service, National Museums of Kenya Project duration: 3 years. Total costs for the three years programme: 3,8 billion liras for technical assistance, community based development, institution strengthening, implementation of infrastructure and supply of commodities. Subjects implementing the Italian Aid Cooperation Project: Kenya Implementing Agencies: These two agencies shall involve in the programme other Administration Departments, in particular the District Development authorities.
