Abstracts: instructions and deadlines

 

How to prepare your abstracts:


1. The abstract, in English, should be prepared as follows:

2. Underline the name of the presenting author and leave a blank line between affiliations and the abstract text. Use font Arial (11 pt) and single spacing throughout. The text, including title, authors and affiliations should not exceed 2000 characters (spaces included)


3. Reference should be reported in the text as “.......... Ballarin and Cima (2005; Eur J Histochem, 49: 255-264)” or, for more than two authors, “............. Bacakova et al. (2001; Histol Histopathol, 16: 675-684)


4. The abstract will not be corrected by the organizers, please check the text carefully


5. The abstract should be submitted via e-mail only, as an attachment, to:

Please submit the abstract both as a .doc Word document and as an .rtf file. Please name the file using your surname as: surname.doc and surname.rtf.

6. Since the scientific committee and session chairs will select some contributions for platform presentation, based on submitted abstracts, please specify in your e-mail message if you like your contribution be considered for oral communication. The authors will be informed about the decision by May 31st. Specify also the Main Topic into which the abstract should be included

Oral presentations

Generally, 10 min presentation plus 5 min for discussion will be allocated. Data and overhead projectors will be available (slide projector upon request only). Data projector will be attached to a PC running under OS Windows 2000 with MS PowerPoint 2000. Authors are required to bring a CD-ROM or a USB-Flash Drive with the presentation for downloading the file to the PC. Using participants' notebooks is not desirable. Please contact the organizers in advance if you have special technical needs.


Posters

Poster area 90 cm (w) 120 cm (h) will be available for each poster. The posters will remain on exhibition during the entire symposium.
