Cristina Bon is a Researcher in History of Political Institutions at Catholic University of the Sacred Heart - Milan, Faculty of Political and Social Sciences. She is interested in the political and constitutional developments of the United States, with a particular emphasis on the states level and the figure of Federal and state chief executive.

She teaches Contemporary History of Government at University of Pavia (master in World Politics and International Relations) and she is lecturer of Contemporary History, History of Political Institutions and Comparative History of Public Institutions at Catholic University of Milan.

She is a researcher at the Center for Arts and Profession Research (Catholic University of Milan) and participates actively in the initiatives promoted by the inter-university Center of European and American Politics and History (CISPEA)

From 2007 to 2010 she has been a member of a Project of Relevant National Interest (promoted by the Italian Ministry of University and Research) coordinated by Prof. Luca Scuccimarra (University of Rome La Sapienza) and titled: The Government of the People. Centralizing trends of the representative system; she is currently member of another Project of Relevant National Interest, coordinated by Prof. Laura Bovone (Catholic University of Milan) and titled: Sustainable practices of everyday life in the context of the crisis: employment, consumption, investment.

Visiting researcher at Georgetown University, Department of History in Washington DC (2008-2009) and the Moore Institute of the National University of Ireland, Galway (2012).

Her essays have been published in italian historical journals such as “Storia, Amministrazione Costituzione”, “Giornale di Storia Costituzionale” e “Cahiers di Adriana Petracchi. Quaderni di Studi Storici”. In 2012 she also published a monograp titled: Alla Ricerca di una più Perfetta Unione. Convenzioni e Costituzioni negli Stati Uniti della prima metà dell’800 (Milano, Francoangeli).
