Academic curriculum


Cristina Mariotti graduated cum laude in Modern Languages and Literature (Majors: English and German) from the University of Pavia in 1994.
From 1996 to 2001 she taught English and German in Italian high schools and junior high schools and conducted research in EFL teaching methodology.
In 2001 she obtained a postgraduate degree in Foreign Language Teaching (SILSIS) from the University of Pavia.
In 2005 she obtained a doctoral degree in Linguistics from the University of Pavia.

Teaching Positions
2008 - present: Assistant Professor in English Language and Linguistics; teaching English at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Pavia.
2004-2007 Professor on a temporary basis of English language at Comunicazione Interculturale e Multimediale (CIM), University of Pavia.
2005-2006 Teacher of English language and civilization at Liceo Classico “G. Berchet”, Milano.
2000-2001 Professor on a temporary basis of English language at the Faculty of Economics, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milano.

Interaction strategies in second language acquisition; Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL); English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) in internationalisation programmes; the use of subtitled audiovisual materials in language learning.
