Biography


Massimo Zaccaria is a graduate in Oriental Studies of the University of Venice, and holder of a doctorate in African Studies (1994, University of Siena) and post-doc (1998-99,University of Pavia). In 2000 he has obtain his LIS Diploma from the University of Bologna (sede di Ravenna). Since 2015 he is Associate Professor in African History at the Department of Political and Social Science of the University of Pavia. Massimo's current research intersts lie on the social history of the Horn of Africa during the colonial period with special emphasis on Eritrea and the Sudan.
