Specific course objectives

The course of Industrial Electronics introduces a review of mainblocks in a standard control loop for industrial process.

Course programme

Common features of transducers for physical variables. Conditioning networks for transducers. Analog and digital control algorithms. Microprocessors for industral controls and their interfacing to transducers and actuators. Main lines for real time software. In the laboratory the students, operating in small groups, are asked to develop a program for DSP, aimed at the acquisition of the analog signal generated by a temperature transducer and to display the temperature value on the seven segments display.
