 Course name: Geomatica e GIS
Course code: 501064
Degree course: Ingegneria Edile-Architettura
Disciplinary field of science: ICAR/06
University credits: CFU 9
		Course website: http://geomatica.unipv.it/spalla/didattica.htm
 Specific course objectives
This course will introduce students to the technologies and field procedures used in surveying and mapping and to the fundamental practical and conceptual skills necessary to undertake simple GIS analysis, and the theoretical and practical competency necessary to study GIS at a higher level. It aims to introduce the student to commercially available software, instruct students in the use of this software in applied GIS analysis scenarios and ensures a solid theoretical and conceptual foundation in GIS fundamental methods and analyses.
