Specific course objectives
Students who have attended the course will be able to pass the Cambridge Preliminary English Test (PET), Common European Framework for Languages level B1.
Course programme
The course syllabus is specified in the index of "Ready for PET" and consists of the lexical, grammatical, phonetic topics; as well as skills and exam training required to pass a general English as a Foreign language exam at the B1 level.
The PET exam
The final test will consist of a realistic simulation of the PET exam. Passing this test will entitle students to 3 formative credits, but not to a valid PET certificate, which can only be obtained by passing the PET exam at an accredited exam centre. Students will be provided with information about official exam dates and about official exam centres.
