Specific course objectives

The aim is to prepare students to deal with the energy-environmental planning of a site whether it is a territory, rather than a single area within a facility. The planning can comprise both conventional and alternative sources of energy or involved energy services. We investigate the system from a wide standpoint: involving technical-economic, environmental and energy aspects. The topics cover an introduction to planning, optimization techniques and the handling of models: these issues will be the basis for the preparation of the report at the end of the course. During the laboratory time specific programs could be used.
