Specific course objectives
Course programme
In the formation process of the degree education, the course in Storia dell’architettura 2 (History of Architecture 2) has a key role to stimulate in students an historical and critical knowledge of the main experiences of contemporary architecture, from the origins of Modern to the contemporary architecture.
The scope of the course is primarily to complete the cultural formation of the student, adding to the knowledge from the study of ancient architecture, the knowledge of episodes and fundamental theories of architectural production from the late eighteenth century to the contemporary period.
At the same time, beyond every purely notional aspect, the course will emphasize the significant connection between the historical and cultural aspects and those that belong to other disciplines, in an interpretation that aims to integrate all the knowledge involved (technical, formal, economical and cultural) and that merge together in the project synthesis.
