Specific course objectives
The course is aimed at an understanding of the basic topics of electricity, magnetism and light
Course programme
The course deals with Electricity, Magnetism and Light at a very basic level.
The main topics will be given with the following sequence:
1) Lectures covering electrostatics and intro to DC circuits
2) Lectures covering magnetostatics, electromagnetic induction and intro to AC circuits
3) Lectures covering electromagnetic waves and optics
4) If there is enough time there will be lectures on modern physics.

Course entry requirements
The course presupposes that the student is able to master the main topics of the course Fisica I
(Mechanics and Thermodynamics) and of the Mathematics courses. Vectorial analysis, line integrals
of vector fields and grad, div and rot operators are of main concern for the course.

Textbook is: Mazzoldi-Nigro-Voci, Fisica II, EdiSES. This book will be followed with
