Specific course objectives

The main objective of this course is to provide to the students the basic knowledge of the economic theories and to examine the problems that join the production economy and the safeguard of the environment. The subjects of general economy are the market laws that regulate supply and demand of the goods, the different systems of competition, the theories of producer or customer as well as the main macroeconomic conditions like PIL, inflation, unemployment and money. About enviromental economy it will illustrate the natural resources of the earth and the way of their evaluation, the management of water resources and the rates and laws, the management and the laws about solid refuses or commun resources with the eventual impact to the atmosphere reported in international conferences.

Course programme

Lo scopo del corso è di fornire agli studenti le conoscenze di base dell'economia generale e di esaminare i principali problemi che collegano l'economia della produzione alla salvaguardia dell'ambiente. Per gli argomenti di economia generale si farà riferimento alle leggi microeconomiche di mercato della domanda, offerta, regimi di concorrenza, teorie del produttore e del consumatore nonchè alle principali variabili macroeconomiche del PIL, inflazione, disoccupazione e moneta. Per l'economia dell'ambiente si illustreranno le risorse naturali disponibili e la modalità della loro valutazione, la gestione delle risorse idriche e relative tariffazioni e leggi, la gestione e la legislazione dei rifiuti solid, la gestione delle risorse comuni con le conseguenze di effetto serra e buco nell'ozono secondo le conferenze internazionali recenti
