Specific course objectives
Objectives
The main objective of the course is to give the fundamental principles of the electromagnetic field theory including the generation, propagation and interaction with environmental and biological systems.
The students will acquire capabilities to analyze and determine the electromagnetic emission characteristics of typical sources operating in industrial and residential environments (for example, electric power network, TV, radio and cellular telephone antennas) and the principal bioelectromagnetic interaction characteristics with the human body.
Moreover the students will also acquire capabilities to choose the more suitable methods and instrumentations to measure the electromagnetic exposure according to the specific European laws and they will be also able to perform the analysis and the assessment of the “Electromagnetic Environmental Impact” according to the guide lines of national governative authorities
