Specific course objectives

Ability to assess the triggering factors and the evolution of landslides for hazard assessment and mitigation. Knowledge of basic principles of planning with specific guidelines for areas characterized by hydrogeological risks, significant subsidence and seismicity. Ability to describe and classify soil and rock mass involved with the phenomena of instability.
