Professor of Developmental Biology.
Her main research interest is focused on the analysis of genomic factors involved in chromosome rearrangements and in studying the influence of karyotype heterozygosities on mammalian gametogeneses and development. Her research activity is documented by 110 publications in refereed Journals and Books.
Her research has been funded by grants from public (MIUR and FAR, Ministery of Foreign Affairs, CNR) and private foundations (e.g., Telethon Foundation Onlus; Sigma-Tau).
She is acting as referee for international scientific Journals (European Journal of Histochemistry, Chemosphere, Chromosoma, Genome, Chromosome Research, Cytogenetics and Genome Research, Genome, Experimental Cell Research, Journal of Reproduction and Fertility, Gene, Journal of Theoretical Biology) and for the evaluation of grant proposals (Argentinian FONCYT).
