What others say about Comboni College

Secondo la direzione del Comboni College, e non solo, uno dei tratti distintivi della scuola era quello di fornire ai propri alunni un’educazione immediatamente spendibile sul mercato del lavoro. L’impressione che si voleva dare, e che non era, tra l’altro, una trovata pubblicitaria, era quella di una scuola che in qualche modo assicurava sbocchi immediati sul mercato del lavoro. Nel 1937 l’annuario del Comboni College venne aperto da una serie di attestati di stima a firma delle principali ditte operanti in Sudan.

The following are appreciations quoted from the Government Report 1935 and from actual testimonials received from the leading commercial firms of Sudan.

THE DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION. In Khartuom the Comboni College (Roman Catholic), provides a sound course of training for boys of foreign or mixed parentage. The School is well managed and good discipline is exercised.

BARCLAYS BANK (DOMINION, COLONIAL AND OVERSEAS). The Principal and the Staff of Comboni College, Khartoum, are to be congratulated on the results of their work in training boys for commercial careers in the Sudan. By including in their curriculum commercial subjects with English as the official language, the College is turning out young men of good manners and sufficiently advanced to be able without difficulty to take up remunerative posts with business firms immediately they leave school.
