Congress Language

• All Scientific sessions will be conducted in English.
• Abstracts must be submitted in English.

Contributions

All the speakers and other participants who intend to present a contribution must send it together with the Call for Papers Form before March, 15th, 2004.

Provisional programme

A provisional programme of the workshop will be prepared as soon as possible.

Important Message

To facilitate future correspondence, registrants are responsible for providing a correct e-mail address.

Identification Badges

When entering the conference halls, the Conference area and all the social events, participants must ensure that they are visibly displaying their conference identification badge.

Registration Form: Guideline

• Each participant must submit his or her own registration form.
• All items with * must be filled.
• Registration will take place at Collegio Ghislieri on September 9th from 15.00 to 20.00 and on September 10th from 8.30 to 18.00. A welcome reception will be held on Thursday evening during the registration.

Cancellations and Refunds Policy

• The Conference Organisation Secretary must be informed in writing of all cancellations and claims for refunds. Refunds will be made once the conference has terminated.
• Cancellations of registration should be send by fax before 27th August, 2004. Full refund will be made within one month after the Congress.
• Cancellations received after 28th August, 2004 will not be refunded.

Cancellation & refund policy of the registration fee

All cancellations should be made in written form and addressed to IUSS secretariat. All refunds will be settled after the convention.

Accommodation

You should know that booking a hotel in Pavia couldn't be simpler. We have selected two hotels, and all our accommodation in Pavia can be booked filing the form in the accommodation link.

A very limited number of rooms is also available at Colleges (some of them of historical importance).

Normally in Pavia the September Weather is warm and nice. More or less there are 20 - 23 degrees

Collegio Ghislieri, Piazza Ghislieri, 27100 PAVIA, Italy, phone +39 0382 37861. The workshop will be held in 4 Aula of Collegio Ghislieri in Pavia from September 9 to11, 2004. Map of Pavia, where you can see where Collegio Ghislieri is located.
Collegio Ghislieri can be easily reached from the railway station by taxi or bus or even on foot (the walking distance is about 15 minutes):

• By bus: take bus n. 3 (direction Montebolone) leaving just in front of the station and get out at the bus stop SCOPOLI (see the map: the bus stop is just in front of hotel Ariston). The College is about 200 meters from the bus stop. Take via Volta (north direction) and after minutes walking you will find Piazza Ghislieri on the left; the College is around the corner. A ticket (0.80 Euro) must be bought before getting to the bus. Tickets are sold by many news-stands and tobacconists. A news-stand is very close to the bus stop at the railway station square.
